CAFE COTON has its roots in Louviers, Northern France. The JEUFFRAIN family earned a reputation for excellence from their weaving factory which opened in 1815. From this time to the creation of CAFE COTON in 1990, there is a continuous thread of nine generations of weavers.
Born among fabrics and cotton goods, Charles Augustin JEUFFRAIN continued the tradition and trained with the greatest Italian weavers. His experience within the prestigious Dormeuil company as export manager for Asia and Africa, contributed to the launch of his own company.
Originally distributed in multi-brand stores and Parisian department stores, CAFE COTON shirts, unrivalled in terms of quality and finish, quickly found great success. The excitement which met the first collections was such that Charles Augustin decided to develop his own distribution network.
In September 1991 the first CAFE COTON shop opened its doors on the Rue Marbeuf near to the Champs-Elysées. Thereafter, stores flourished in Paris and throughout France before being exported overseas. The Brussels store opened in 1996, opening the way for London, Berlin, San Francisco, and more exotic destinations such as Mauritius, South Africa and the United Arab Emirates.
Today, CAFE COTON shirts are sold around the world and enjoy an unequalled reputation. With more than 50 stores in France and 105 in total, CAFE COTON is a giant among men's shirt specialists with expertise developed over 20 years in its field.
